This dataset includes information from the Monthly Survey on Commercial Enterprises (EMEC) conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) in Mexico to gather economic and financial information from companies engaged in wholesale and retail trade in the country. This dataset includes information from the Monthly Services Survey (EMS) conducted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) in Mexico. The EMS collects information from companies and establishments engaged in activities such as commerce, transportation, communication, financial services, among others. The survey collects data on sales, employees, wages and labor benefits, operating expenses, and investment in the services sector, which is used to calculate important economic indicators. Base year is 2018=100.
The data for 2023 and 2024 are preliminary figures published by INEGI.
